The Chambers work to make Southern Illinois a great place to live, work, play, learn and invest. Representing over hundreds of businesses and organizations, the purpose of the chamber’s shall be to strive to support them through advocacy, promotion, education and other activities. They encourage the businesses, social, and civic life and the general welfare and prosperity of the southern regional area so that its citizens and all areas of the community shall prosper. Promoting programs of a civic, social, and cultural nature which are designed to increase the functional and aesthetic values of the community. The Chamber’s strength lies in the number and diversity of its membership and they utilize the strength of their individual memberships to accomplish collectively what no business could do alone.
